As part of the GVL blog, we’re featuring our employees so you can get an inside view into what keeps GVL running. We are very proud of our team and excited to share some of our employee profiles with you.
Today we’re featuring GlobalVetLink’s Customer Success Representative Rachel Millard.
Rachel joined GlobalVetLink (GVL) in February of 2022. Her background in Animal Science from Iowa State University has helped her get into the swing of things as a Customer Success Representative at GVL. Rachel’s day to day consists of helping users understand and interact with the GVL platform so they can create certificates successfully and accurately.
Get to know Rachel better:
“I grew up in Naperville, IL, where I was homeschooled until I went to college. I got a job in a nearby town teaching horse riding lessons as a teenager. While I was teaching riding lessons, I also learned to start young horses.
I have always wanted to work with animals (which was interesting with two engineers for parents). I cannot really explain why, but there is something about when you are working with an animal and they start to understand what you want, that makes you want to keep pursuing it.
After graduating from Iowa State University with a degree in Animal Science, I worked for SK Horses for four seasons. While working for SK Horses. I started young horses for them, dealt with problem animals, and managed the barn and office.”
After working various jobs, including working for a concrete company and continuing to break horses, Rachel found her way to GlobalVetLink by recommendations from a friend. Rachel explains, “I enjoy being able to interact with people from everywhere and getting the opportunity to hear about different people’s operations.”
Besides doing a great job at GlobalVetLink, Rachel enjoys working with horses, playing instruments, and jamming with her friends.
From Senior Customer Success Represenative Morgan Martin:
“Rachel only joined the Customer Success (CS) team a few short months ago, and within those months she has proven her ability to handle customer interactions with ease. Rachel does not shy away from a big issue task and makes sure to consider all angles before making any decision. She is able to ease our customers as they face high stress International Certificates or a last minute CVI appointment. Rachel has become a valued member of our team and I cannot wait to see how she grows with GlobalVetLink in the future!”
